Step 1
Contact South Dakota Mail Forwarding, LLC to get a Personal Mailbox number. (PMB)
We can help you fill out our mail forwarding contract and Postal form 1583, which gives us permission to handle your mail.
Both forms available on line by clicking on our “Fees and Forms” link.
If you only need a mail forwarding service and are not interested in declaring residency in South Dakota, you only need to do
step 1. Call our office and we will assign you a PMB and help you fill out the two required forms
Step 2
Contact our office and we can help you arrange the following.
Apply for your South Dakota Driver’s license and your South Dakota license plates (tags).
You can apply for your license plates (tags) via US Mail or hire South Dakota Mail Forwarding to take care of that for you.
You must apply for your South Dakota driver’s license in person.
Registering to vote is optional.
